LOL maybe I need a "work in progress" sticker

I finished mine 2 years ago. Then I finished it last spring. Then I finished it 6 months ago. Then I really finished it last February. And I'm serious this time, if I find that one last part I'm really gonna finish it this weekend.....

Ask me in the summer of 2014. That's my target date. After that, I intend to drive it as often as I can afford the gas as I'm expecting to only get around 10mpg :D I'll be keeping it for the rest of my life or until one of my grandkids is old enough, and responsible enough, and respectful enough, to take it as their heart's desire. I've got 7 granddaughter's and I'm hoping it's my baby's baby that's the one. I live for the day when she turns 16 and says "Pawpaw, I'd love to have your truck." Can't think of any better gift than to give a child something that'll wrap her, and protect her, in 4000 lbs of solid American iron! Besides, when I'm 71 years old, I'll still be able to work on it when it breaks down.

so my original goal was to have my truck done by the time my son starts cub scouts. that dead line will be here this fall so next goal is that it will be done by the time he starts weblos so that if can be our camping trip truck. i have so many memories of going on camping trips in the truck with my dad going to scouting campouts. the best memory that i have was tight after i got my license and we were packing the truck up for a camping trip and my dad tossed me the keys and said your driving. i was thrilled and scared at the same time. i can wait to do that with my son.

That's the right kind of dad. I'll be doing that to my son this summer. No, my truck won't be done, but she'll be on the road.

I keep thinking of stuff that will be worth the long run of driving it and I don't think it will ever be done. :fr:
