72 f100 tire/lift ?
Hi I'm new to the thread here I have a 72f100 long bed 2wd that's used around the house and on the farm. I can't seem to find anywhere a chart or guide to what size tire for on it stock and with different size lifts can anyways help me here as I'm wanting a little more aggressive tire for hunting and farm work. Thanks seems like a awesome forum

Dang.. Bumping after one hour and 19 minutes... BE PATIENT!
Stock was G78-15.. that's what should be on your door sticker. Look at it sometime.
Common sizes on stock 15-inch rims - 215/75, 225/70, 235/70, and 30x9.5.
31x10 on 15x8 wheels is possible in the rear. It'll get tight in the front.
Lift?? By what method? No... there are no off-the shelf 2WD suspension lifts unless ya go with Autofab's 3-inch or 5-inch. IIRC, then 33s are easy and 35s are close but it depends on wheel offset and tire manufacturer because they differ even though they are the same size on the side wall.

Mine originally , when I bought it, had 235/75-15s. I upped 'em to 265/75-15s with no problems.

I was gonna go with a body lift not really worried about it as it's just a hunting/farm truck could I fit 33's with a 3 inch? Thanks for the infoHIO Silver wrote:Dang.. Bumping after one hour and 19 minutes... BE PATIENT!

Re: 72 f100 tire/lift ?
we went with the Autofab 3" coils. We ended up with a total of about 5" of lift from the trucks existing ride right, the old springs were sagged down to the bump stops. We are currently running 12.5 x 33" tires . seam to fit pretty good. John at AutoFab is a great guy to work with. we bought just the coils from him and will have our beams bent locally. We did have to get and extended shock for this app. With with shocks from Doestch. Also great people to deal with and reasonably priced.
