Brake line removal
I am in the process of taking the rear end housing out of my 69 f100. The next step for me is taking the brake lines off. Where do I need to start? Please help.

Re: Brake line removal
If the rear end is still under your truck, there's a flexible brake line at the rear between the drivers side frame rail, where it connects to the rear end housing on the top of the left axle housing tube. Take the hose fitting loose at the upper end of the hose where it connects to the 3/16" hard line.wgoodnow wrote:I am in the process of taking the rear end housing out of my 69 f100. ...There's a good chance if this fitting hasn't been loosened in a long time (or since it was assembled at the factory) that it's going to put up a fight to unscrew it.

Re: Brake line removal
Invest in a set of line wrenches. Open-end wrenches usually will round off brass brake line fittings. Even a harbor freight set works fine. You will be very glad you did
