Brake shoes rubbing

Post by Mr-Dyslexic »

The rear left rubs all the way around when spun but you can still free spin it by hand and the adjustment is all the way in. It's a new set of shoes & drum. Does it just need to be worn in? The left rear rubs on one spot even when adjust all the way out, I adjusted out and backed it off and got it as close as I can to how it is when the adjust is all the way in. I'm guessing g that this is a just the case of breaking the shoes in? The front left is Rubbing also the only one that is not the front right and I just adjusted it correctly

Did you apply brake pedal before/during adjustment? This will center them in the drum.

Drive a few days, then recheck for drag. It took mine a day or two to settle in...also no hard braking initially, but you prolly already knew that. Cheers!
