MC/Booster Bracket

Post by Maximus71 »

I've started the disc brake swap on my '72 F100. I'm having trouble finding the mounting bracket for the MC/Booster combo. I found a yard that might have one, but they charge $100 for the MC/Booster and bracket  . All I need is the bracket. Does anyone have the dimensions to fab one of these brackets?

Buy it that's going to be your best bet you'll spend way more time fabing one, than just buy it and install it you'll never need it again. how did you get a Booster without a bracket.

About 2/3 of the way down the page, right hand side. $65 for the pair.

DCrusher - I don't have a booster. My '72 does not have power brakes. I'm converting from the stock drums to power discs. The truck I pulled the front end out of had already been picked over and the MC, booster and bracket were already gone.

Thanks for the link Flyboy2610. I'll have to gve them a call. Looks like they might just have exactly what I need.

There are plenty of aftermarket companies that make booster brackets, and universal linkage set-ups. Unless you get all of the used parts from the same truck, it's likely going to be mix-n-match.

I guess I need to learn how to search for parts because I haven't been able to find a single company that makes one. I have no problem finding other parts, but that bracket has been elusive.
