Re: Tire Size
Kind of late to reply but I am looking into the same thing right now so if you have not already resolved the issue, is your ride stock, lowered or raised? What is your wheel diameter and offset. Those 2 things are real important to fitment when it comes to bigger tires. What do you want for a sidewall height? Tall and narrow or short and fat? ( The profile is the distance between your wheel’s rim and the tread.) There are several sites that will tell you the tire vs. rim requirements. I use the ones from tirerack.com and one from tacomaworld.com to tell the difference in rpm/speed.
I have 265/70/17's on my Camper Special/Sport Custom but think my rims are closer to 10" wide. The 265/70/17 will fit a 9-10 inch rim. They will need replaced soon and I am thinking of 315/70/17 Bridgestone’s because I want to try and get a little better gas mileage and the Bridgestone’s are close to 34.5 inches tall with only a 9.6 wide tread. My Uniroyal’s are closer to 10's wide and only about 31"s tall. The problem is I think I will need to install at least a 2" lift to clear the wheel well in front. My pickup is stock and I only have about 2" in front of my front tire and 2.5" behind the tread in the front.

Re: Tire Size
18 inch wheels , stock ride height want tires that arent rubber bands but still small enough to be sporty. something along these lines.

I don't mind having to recalibrate the speedometer.
