I just brought home a 1969 F100 stepside to begin restoration and noticed the steering column is slightly out of alignment to the left. The truck drives straight and doesn't show any signs of frame damage. Is this normal? This is the first time I'm attempting something like this and I will probably be on this forum with lots of stupid questions!

Mine is the same way. I've asked this question before and told it's normal.

Yep, it's normal, mines the same.
IF you sit a little to the right, it looks normal

Yep, it's supposed to be that way due to the steering gear box being located on the inside of the frame rail. This drawing shows the angle clearly. http://www.fordification.com/tech/images/bb70/p06.gif Also makes it easier for people with big bellies like mine to get in.

Ok. Thanks for the info. And you're right, it does look better when I sit to the side!
