dent steering column into my 67 bump?

Post by yarko »

So, my 67 auto steering column is shot. I have a really nice one from a dent. I noticed that the plug end is different. Single plug on the dent and 2 plugs on the bump. Also the neutral safety switch isn't on the dent column. Can anyone who's done the swap give me some assistance on the swaps details? Thanks everyone

The NSS (Neutral Safety Switch) was mounted on top of the truck steering columns through 1977. In '78, the NSS was moved off the column and onto the side of the C-4 and C-6 transmissions.

Here's how I installed my '78 tilt column in my '69 F100, WITHOUT butchering my original main wiring harness. --currently, my NSS is jumpered out. That will be resolved when I replace the C-4 with a Ford 4R70W 4-speed overdrive transmission.
