Hey
I have installed a 76 f100 front I beams and disk brakes in my 71 f100. Does anybody know if the overall distance from wheel to wheel is going to be wider than the rear? I getting about 6 inches wider for the front.

Yes, the front is wider than the rear, always has been on the '67-'72 generation. It is engineered to be only around 3-1/2" wider from center of tire to center of tire, depending on the tire/wheel combination and backspacing. http://www.fordification.com/tech/images/bb70/p07.gif The '76 front end was the same width. Beginning in '73, they widened the rear on the 2wd to match the front http://www.fordification.com/tech/chass ... arison.htm
