sliding rear window with chrome trim?

Alright, did the rear sliding window ever have the option of chrome trim around the rubber seal? I ask because I picked up the chrome trim for the back window and its a real good set. The more I look at it and try to see what it looks like, I'm not sure if it will work.

The rear window chrome trim came as part of the Ranger and Ranger XLT trim package. You could get the sliding glass window as an option, so you could have a Ranger or Ranger XLT with the chrome trim and the sliding glass window. You would need the rear window gasket designed for the chrome trim to install this on your truck.

I have an xlt with slider window and no trim. From what I understand is that most folks thought both was too much. I did see it on a truck once and it looked odd almost clunky or crowded. Didn’t look right so I’ve decided to stay with just chrome slider.

Lol I had to run out and check mine to verify and sure enough that one is upside down. I saw this one on eBay it was pretty nice restoration. Nice color combo.

Hmmm, that could be the reason there are so many upside down cargo lights out there...

Checked some original dealer brochures . there are some nice examples out there too for sliding rear windows with cargo lights

ok, that 2nd pic looks better. The window metal in the original finish makes it look funny, with it painted black, that chrome trim pops, ok, keeping it.
