1970 F250 4X4 Rebuild / Updating

So no luck finding my lower Column support bracket.

Got the Bed and Hood installed and started loading parts into the bed. The pending move is coming along fast!

Been a long time since this was in this state.

It is a little overwhelming to get all this "stuff" packed and moved about halfway across the country. But the move is a good thing.

Got more cleaning done. Installed the tailgate and got the extra bed flipped over onto a trailer. Just have to make some stakes so i can drop the bed onto the truck for shipping. Decided I am going the scrap the 360 and the extra T-Case as room is at a premium.

Loaded up the 360 and the parts Dana24 T-Case as well as a bunch of other scrap. Got to the scrap yard and found out I had grossly overloaded the poor F150. I had 2200lbs of scrap steel and about 100lbs of other materials. Unloaded the truck and left with $178.00 more in my pocket. Once that was done I took a good look at my spare bed. Well it was in much worse condition than I had thought. I ended up cutting a large section of floor out and both wheel tubs. The rest made a trip to the scrap yard but only had 500lbs so the payout was much less. Been looking at shipping companies for when the Truck has to be moved. I don't think I want to try and tow it behind the U-Haul truck from MD to MN.

Cut up my extra bed, turns out it was in far worse shape than I had thought. I kept a section of the floor and both wheel wells. The rest went to the scrap yard. Today I plan on getting into the attic of the garage and pull down a bunch of stuff to go through.

First house tour has been scheduled, and the open house is coming up next week. Got more stuff cleaned up, think I am going to install a grill and rock shield so the don't need to be packed.

So no on the install and they went into the bed. I did get a lot of things sorted and took another load to the scrap yard. More money the goes into the fund for the move.

Pass papers on the house Friday. Sometime next week we will head to MN for 2 weeks to look for the new house! Finding one with an out building would be perfect.

So lots of updates. We went to MN and looked at houses. Put in an offer on a house then had an inspection and things were bad. Roof was bad, AC wasn't working well and the chimney needed to be rebuilt. Based on those three things it would be around $40k walking in the door. So pulled that offer and started the process all over again. Just put in another offer on a different house and there will be an inspection on Monday fingers crossed this time.

So the second house is the one we are going with. Pass papers on Monday fingers crossed, the inspection went very well. Truck is out in the driveway now awaiting the transport company to pick it up for delivery to MN.
