I get about 10, I get better putting along at 55mph, I get 11-12, Loaded with 2600 lbs at 70mph every time I look down the gauge has moved. Drove 100 miles (in town mixed with hiway) on a little on little over half a tank. Staring and stopping in town sucks fuel mercilessly. I measure in blocks per gallon then LOL.
1969 F100. All factory 360, 4-speed, candy apple red one owner. Incredible truck!

That's what I got when I had that same setup. It went up to nine when I upgraded to a manual transmission.

72' F100 360cid, 3.00 gears, 63k original miles, runs perfect. I have a 4 speed trans, tires set at 35psi all the way around. On my trip from Salem Oregon to Hollister Ca, I filled up 4 time between 10 and 15 gallons. I calculated my second fill up at 14.08 mpg, and my third fill up on more flat terrain at 14.5 mpg exactly. I was averaging between 65 and 75 mph highway driving only. I think if I took it down to 55-60 mph I could do better. These are honest numbers, and I gave you my gear ratio. I think it has a lot to do with it, plus I am not running a slush box trans, that helps to.
