Took the wife and dog for ice cream and some country road cruising. Trucks not pretty but it runs strong and they love it.

Refurbished my gage cluster by repainting the orange/red on the needles and gage face then installing it in a pick and grab bezel and clear plastic cluster cover. Just started my rebuild so as I take things off I'm fixing them so I'll be ready to put it back together after paint.

Painted a few things (rear bumper, wheels, grill inserts). After a little wax, the original lacquer paint came out pretty nice.

I did nothing to my bump yet again today! Still trying to get the house and garage repaired and repainted after $19,000.00 worth of storm damage this summer! That sure does cut into the bump budget!!!!!
Retired and lovin' it!!!!!

changed my oil. mobile delvac 15w40, plus a wix filter filled to the top with stp zddp oil additive. also poured a oreillys carb cleaner additive into some 91 octane. stared at my exhaust and wished i could afford to get it finished right now. the neighbors aren't diggin the open headers :D just put in my 3rd speedo cable in 8 or 9 years. chinese crap. i hosed the new one down completely with ballistol. speedo bouncy needle problem solved

Yesterday I changed out my rusty wheels for new ones bought from Summit Racing. Same style, white spoke. Today I am putting in new thermostat because, according to my gauge it doesn't get very hot. Either the gauge is way off, thermostat is stuck open, or there isn't a thermostat.

I found that there is a thermostat, one that is for 160*. I put in a 195* along with new hoses but I found that the old hoses don't quite fit the radiator. The PO used "sleeves" on the radiator end of the hoses to step them down to a smaller size. Kinda hokey, but I will be using them also, I am waiting for the silicone to dry so I can put them on.

I also need to repack the wheel bearings.

Researched some period correct parts. Got rims back from AWR and checking on tires. Waiting on parking brake cables so I can get the rear wheels on and get her off the jacks and start collecting stuff from inside to do during the winter months. That means refilling my supply of EVAPORUST and soaking parts! Love that stuff. Saved a ton of money with that. Taking inventory on parts I can offer for use by others. Got a lot of good "smalls" to offer. 8)
