coming along real nice. I like the stainless scuffplates, thinking about getting some for my ride. Did you use my idea for the headliner or did you go with something else? either way it looks good. cant wait to see it when it's all put back together.

Thanks, Them scuff plates are $19 for the set on LMC, the only thing is that you might want to put some good 3m double sidded tape, because the one they come with is not that good. :(
Yup,sure did. Thanks for the tip. I went to the home depot got that masenite peg board, traced the old one on top, cut it out, and wet the corners so it would be plyable to shape it. So I put it on to dry, took shape perfect, then the upolstery man put some thin sponge and glued the black vinal. I like the end result. :D

Today they will be putting in both wind shields with the trim. I was told that they would not be responsable if it cracks. Man I hope they get it right the first time.
After that we're off to the muffler shop, to get the 50 series flowmasters, and the 3" stainless steel pipes put on. The end pipe will be at the front of the rear tire. I wonder how it will sound...

Looks great. I just painted mine and put new door seals on the cab too. I had a heck of a time getting them to stay in the corners and then to get the scuff plates on top of them right. I did the PS first and then the DS. The DS turned out much better since I had already done it once. I did it like that so I wouldn't have to look at the other side everyday. HA!

Truck looks great.

Got a few questions for ya Sport71, if you dont mind. Where did you get the tank from, and where did you get the gas filler from also? How is the tank mounted? I would like to do a smiler set up in my 72.

Thanks. The only other thing I wonder about is what did you do about the gas gauge?

OldRedFord.
I used the same guage that the truck came with. The gas tank comes with a new sending unit. All you have to do is pull the orange wire out that went to the original gas tank to the front of the harness, and go out the cab from the front where the wires go down and out to where the windshield washer pump, oil preasure switch, and temp. switch. Follow the part of the harness that goes to the tail lights. Cut the end of the orange wire add like a 3' piece then attatch the end piece that you cut back on. It hooks up the same as the original tank. Piece of cake. Don't forget to ground the black wire the tank comes with to the frame, or else the guage won't work...
