How about a Originality/Decoding Thread

Post by moparmania »

Keith,

I've been on some Mustang forums where they have a Decoding thread where people can "Post your decoding questions here - VINs, door tags, axle tags, buildsheets, part numbers, etc."

They also have a Production and Originality thread where one can post "Questions on original equipment, specs, etc. Is my car rare? Is it really a GT? What is it worth? It is original?"

The only place to post this kind of stuff here is in General Discussion and this stuff seems to get lost there.

Just a suggestion!

Well, I've already got full pages posted on decoding the VIN numbers, with complete code breakdowns, so that shouldn't be a problem for anyone. I'll definitely give that some thought...it's not a bad idea at all.

The General Discussion thread should be a general discussion about our trucks. Here is a current post there.

I don't want to "weed" thru this kind of stuff and truck stuff mixed together. Right now the GD thread is too diluted. I'm not saying this stuff shouldn't be posted, I just think there should be another category to put this kind of stuff in. A Mustang Forum has a category called "Rant and Rave" where anything goes.

Just my :2cents:
