NEED HELP

hey guys its been a long time since i last got on here i have a one owner 69 f100 ranger with 300 inch six cyl in it manual tranny 3 on the tree no power steering my question is i would like to convert it to an automatic and power steering as well my freind just got a 79 f150 4x4 with automatic tranny it is great mechanicly but the bed is toast the rest of the body is great apart from needing a repaint he wants to buy a 77 f150 4x2 crewcab from a guy just for the bed . hood . and doors what i need to know is will the steering column power steering gear etc problem is its a 460 cubic in v8 correct me if i am wrong but could i not bolt up the complete disc brake front end onto my truck and also do the c6 trannys differ from the sixes to v8s any advice would be great thanks

the 77 2wd power steering will work except for the engine brackets. the disc set up should also work fine. the transmission wont work for your engine.

hey guys well my friend has looked at quite a few trucks just to get a bed for his 79 4x4 the guy whose 77 4x2 we looked at called my friend the other day and said he is willing to negoiate on the price so i think my buddy will get it does anyone have a clue as to what i should offer my buddy for the disc brake front end power steering gear column etc he said if he gets it he will only want the bed doors & hood i dont want the engine or tranny i am happy with my 300 six. btw what auto tranny can i fit on my engine & do i have to change or modify my driveshaft thanks for any and all information btw i live in the states in sc

well i paid 125 for my disk set up out of a 73. 25 bucks for the power steering pump and box when i bought my replacement cab from a guy and the 35 for a column that got with the disk setup. so since he is a friend you probably dont want to low ball him maybe 250 - 300
