New CB Handle Suggestions?

Post by Caseys71 »

Well, got a CB hooked up in the hunting truck and it is transmitting/receiving great. Only problem now is coming up with a good Handle. Normally I'm pretty creative but haven't thought of any good ones yet, any suggestions guys? It would also be pretty neat to hear y'all's handles if you've got a CB or HAM radio.

Bionic Frog and Midnight Runner. Those are some pretty creative handles fordman, I like the way they sound! The guy that I'm gonna have tune my radio's handle is Moonshine, and my dad's is Coonhunter he's had it since the mid '80s since he spent a lot of time coon-hunting around that time. I'm thinking of going with Happy-Camper that's what a few of my teachers call me, and a lot of the kids at school know me by . Just doesn't sound that catchy :hmm:.

Mine is Greasy String.

Long story behind it but.... It came from a truck that didn't have enough power to pull a greased string out of a cats a$$ and the rest is history.

"Hot Air Buffoon" if you talk too much and are a smart arse. "10-4 Bump" another. "Rusty" if yer truck IS. "FE" if yer truck is so equipped. "Buckshot" or something related to hunting.

Comin' up with a Handle ain't easy. Ya'll got a favorite Gun, Food, Dog, Gal Friend, Wife (Don't tell yer Wife about the Gal Friend) or such? Those are good places to start.

Ya'll kinda' get the idea? Try to incorporate something meaningful to you in the handle is best, not easy, but best.

Been years since I had a CB, my handle, Fat Cat. Thought about getting another unit.

8), Sounds like your whole family was talking over the CB! Sarge is a pretty cool handle.

, Never would've guessed that's how you came up with your handle! Very creative.

That's creative. Thanks for the suggestion it's pretty catchy!

You've got a lot of great ideas. 10-4 Bump seems pretty neat, not much of a chance of running in to anyone else with that handle and it has a good meaning behind it. Truck has a little bit of rust it is a truck of another brand after all . "Rusty-Bump" sounds appropriate now that I think of it . Buckshot would be great but I've got a friend using that handle. You're right about that! Coming up with a handle is a lot harder than I thought. Favorite gun is between my Grandad's old Model 31 Remington that he's handing down to me next year when I turn 16 :D, And my 870. Favorite food is between Mahi-Mahi & Venison. Don't have a favorite all three of them are good dogs. No Girlfriend and definitely not a wife . I think you're helping me get the creative gears turning in the ol' noggin!

Fat-Cat, I like it! Short and to the point. About getting another unit, you should if you think you'll be using it. They're great to have, we've had one on my dad's truck and the old hunting truck for years and they really come in handy when you're hunting, off-roading, or traveling.

My handle is speedy, Im sure i dont have to say how i got that one. A good handle name for you casey is "empty pockets", Because when i was young and fixing up my car my pockets were always empty. Im sure yours are the same fixing up your truck

, No explanation needed there . I like the sound of "Empty Pockets" that is pretty fitting, I save up enough to buy one thing for the truck then spend it all on that part and start tucking money away again until the next big parts store run .

I was kinda curious how you had come up with "Sarge" Jeremy. It makes sense now, I do remember you mentioning the Marines a few times come to think of it.

Mine when I was a kid, I was K-Kid, I had a 72 K-5 Blazer and it just fit... I had a CB in my 88 ford when I first joined the military, I used "Running Red" the truck was Red, and that hopped up 5.0 ran like no other... Since than I have been without a CB. I want to install one in my 250 with dual whips!
