OT: check out this beetle Kasie and I found on our porch!

Post by robroy »

Good day,

Kasie and I found this beetle caught in a spider web on our front porch, and Kasie rescued it! How would you guys rate its good looks on a scale of 1-10?

Real handsome brute, but I think I'd give it back to the spider...

Nice specimen! Out here we call them palo verde beetles...

I remember we had one on our picnic table as a kid. The damn thing was there for three weeks, and we were all sure it was dead, but we kept it there thinking it looked pretty cool. It never once moved while we rolled it around to look at it, the cats played with it, monsoon storms came and went, and then one day, it walked to the edge of the table and FLEW OFF! Hahaha... scared the **** out of me!
