Project: FREAKSHOWS 67

Post by FREAKSHOW »

well first of all id like to say hello and introduce myself, im Gary and im starting to tear into my 67 so i thought id post some pics so everyone can see the progress through its stages. This wont be a fast build by any means as we just purchased a new house, are getting married, and have a baby on the way but ya gotta start somewhere i guess. First a little history, the truck is a 1967 f100 custom cab, short box, 352, 3 on the tree converted to floor shift. The truck was purchased by the original owners son from Tennessee by my dad, he had the truck for about 7 years and never did anything with it but let it sit in the pole barn (to many other projects) so after some convincing he sold the truck to me. according to the title history my dad was the 2nd owner and now im the 3rd. I ran the vin and it seems to be a mostly all original truck. After the tank was drained and the carb was rebuilt this was a running and driving truck. My plans for the truck before this summer are as follows, rebuild motor with some hop up goodies, new clutch, power steering, disc brakes on the front, all new brake lines, shaved and painted engine bay, completely redo the interior, shave and paint the dash and inside the cab, some different wheels, probably steelies with trim rigs and spider caps for this season and lower it. I will cruise it for the summer while saving money and gathering parts and next winter hope to get the body and paint done, all new trim, chrome, and glass, mustang 2, air ride, and some 20x8s and 20x10s of some sort ( torque thrust, coys, billet specialitys)on it......sorry for the rambling and now some pics
bringing it home

this isnt my first rodeo by any means ive built plenty of other race cars, custom trucks, dunebuggys, 4wheelers, jeeps, broncos, ect but this site has been very helpful to me many times already, everyone is nice and very helpful, ive even purchased stuff from a few members on here from the classifieds and they were a pleasure to deal with to, i appreciate any comments, opinions, constructive criticism ect, i hope you guys like it and more to come, Thanks Gary

thanks, and yes i believe the hood is original, there is some very light body work on the driver side very front corner of the upper fender and the corner of the hood and the headlight bezel is also dented on that side so im assuming that they had to replace one emblem when they fixed the truck and couldn't find a matching one so just replaced both with later model ones. As far as the reflectors on the bed im not sure if they were added, if the bed was replaced or if there factory. I don't think that 67 came with any reflectors at all so im clueless, there isn't any signs of a rear end collision anywhere on or underneath the truck what so ever so until i dig deeper and research a bit more this one is unknown

ya i guess you could say its kind of a family tradition but i wouldnt have it any other way honestly, i respect every thing that someone puts time, money, blood, sweat, and tears into even if it isnt my cup of tea but the blue oval will have my heart untill the day i die. Close on the banshee its actually a Yamaha raptor 700 with a big bore stroker kit in it, and thanks on the link to the classifieds i sent him a pm we will see what he says.

Owned four wheelers for 5-6 years, out of touch with them now. A real close relative of mine had a Banshee that I rode a few times. Yet I don't remember ever getting it out of fourth gear LOL!
Looks very fast! Hope you score the parts.
