Question about a disc swap

Hi guys,

So I've decided I would like to get rid of my drum brakes and go to disc all the way around. I'm looking for a conversion kit for the front and rear end however I'm having trouble finding one for my front end. Is there one for the closed knuckle? Any advise?

There is no conversion for a closed knuckle front end. If you want to swap to discs you have to swap the entire front end with a newer model D44 or perhaps a D60. I am doing the same to my 70 250 4x4.

Ok, so clearly I'm gonna need to get an open knuckle front end, hopefully I can find one in a junk yard. I will be swapping the rear end with one with the correct gear ratio to match the front end so I can use the 4x4. I realize this isn't normally done, but would it be bad to put disc on the rear end and have the drum's on the front? I realize will need a different proportional valve.
