Lower Shock Mounts for a 9 inch

Post by pneumanic »

I just removed a Dana 60 from my 67. I replaced it with an 8.8 to match the bolt pattern of the CV front end. Do you know if anyone reproduces the OEM style shock mounts for a 44 or a 9 inch? They are welded on at a strange angle to make the shock alignment correct. They are stamped at this same angle and the mounting bolt is not parallel to the axle tube. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Thanks. I've seen these, but I was looking for the OEM replacement that didn't need to be fitted. Since the bolt is angled in two planes relative to the axle tube, I wanted to use the benefit of someone else having already dialed in the angles for correct alignment. Honestly, I don't think anyone produces one. I think I will simple use a couple of tabs and then weld a flat across one side.

That is unless someone else knows where to find an accurate reproduction of the original.

Thanks Again!

Yeap. I was trying to avoid that because I wanted for someone to be able to use the 60. I went out in the garage and cut them off tonight though.
