For the first time since I've owned the truck I was actually passing people up on the freeway it was the most amazing thing to me . I parked my truck for about a year and a half doing a lot of things to it I lowered it put a B&M Mega shifter in it but the main ingredient that topped it all with whipped cream on top was a C4 C6 shorty gear vendor install.
I got tired of driving it from stop light to stop light I could no longer drive it on the freeway 55 at 2,800 or 65 at 3,000 It just wasn't any fun anymore with a 373 gear ratio it was a little tricky but now I'm at 2,200 RPM at 65 mph I did hit 70 at one time and I was passing people up 70 mph was 2,500 the sweet spot for that truck 55 was a gentle 1,900 I can't be happier .
It installed in truck with its own gear vendor output shaft it was a little tricky but it went back in ...

Gotta love getting the RRR's down! My C-6 in BC#16 would have me about the same, (your previous RPM's) and I just cringed knowing i was shortening the life of my brand-new engine!
We had one moderator here, (I won't throw him under the bus by naming him ) who can be quoted as calling our awesome B&M mega and truck shifters as "GHETTO SHIFTERS" LOL! I loved mine as you could reach down and drop it into 2nd or first or ratchet up through the gears when you wanted to wind the engine out tighter than a banjo!

Nice, been thinking about one of these myself.
More details - are you using a controller or just an on/off switch?

I wondered what mods were necessary to the rest of the drive line to work with the Gear Vendors? I have one I purchased for another project but that one has been on hold for a while now so maybe I should put it in my Camper Special. Those rpms look inviting. Congrats.
